Abstract. The influence of a kind and volume of substrate and slowly released fertilizers influenced results of Coreopsis grandiflora cultivation. Plants grown in soil and raised peat mixture had better quality than those grown in raised peat only. Stronger growth had plants grown in the pots of smaller volume and grown with the use of fertilizer Hydrocote 140.

Summary
The influence of a kind of substrate (raised peat and raised peat and soil mixture), substrate volume (1 and 1.5 dm3) and the kind of slow released fertilizer (Hydrocote 140 and Osmocote Plus 5-6 M) on results of Coreopsis grandiflora cultivation in three different trails were investigated. After 10 weeks of cultivation, when plants were in full bloom, the biometric data of studied traits were estimated. Plants grown in soil and raised peat mixture had better quality than those grown in raised peat only. Plants potted to the pots of smaller volume and grown by use of fertilizer Hydrocote 140 were stronger.
